  • Eurogeddon Merkozy may press gang elected EU leaders into totalitarian political union

Eurogeddon Merkozy may press gang elected EU leaders into totalitarian political union

Time is running out for Eurozone leaders to save their unified currency as they prepare for eleventh-hour talks in Brussels. But by preserving Euro, Europe dooms itself to Hitler's dream of Euro dictatorship, believes journalist Tony Gosling.

"The individual countries, if they want to retain their sovereignty, then they are going to have to go back to their original currencies," Gosling told RT.

Gosling believes that there is very little democracy involved in Brussels -- and a plot of turning Europe into a dictatorship is near its drop-scene.

"What we are discovering here, I think, is the playing out of a plot which has been going on for the last 50 years or so across Europe, which is in order to bring in a political union, control from the center in an undemocratic fashion. This is a kind of European dictatorship," he said.

A clear example of this dictatorship is the situation with Greece and Italy, who according to Gosling are "now run by Goldman Sachs, effectively."

"I'm afraid if Adolf Hitler was still alive, he would be smirking and smiling now, saying 'Ahh, this looks rather good! This is a Euro-dictatorship, the kind of thing I dreamed of!'" Gosling concluded.

  • Time for Egypt's military to hand over power & face justice

Investigative journalist Tony Gosling told RT that keeping in mind Mohammad El Baradei's past career, he seems to be "a very good person". "He is certainly a very good choice. He is potentially someone that the people can trust from the West and, most importantly from within Egypt. He seems to be a fantastic person, if he can and if he does have a total free hand to do what he wants there,a way of defusing this situation," he said.
Egypt's military junta fired CS gas cartridges made by Combined Systems Inc of Pennsylvania, say demonstrators
The teargas used by interior ministry troops in Cairo's Tahrir Square is supplied by a US company. Demonstrators say cartridges retrieved from the scene are branded with the name and address of Combined Systems Inc (CSI).
The firm is located in Jamestown, Pennsylvania. It specialises in supplying what it calls "crowd control devices" to armies and "homeland security agencies" around the world. It also manufactures lethal military equipment.
Protesters say the CS gas seems more powerful than that used by Egyptian police during the country's last popular uprising in February. "It's stronger, it burns your face, it makes you feel like your whole body is seizing up," one witness said. He added: "It doesn't seem to be combated by Coke or vinegar."
Experts told the Guardian the gas was likely to be standard CS gas, but the effects could be exacerbated by physical exertion.
As well as the effects of the teargas, protesters have suffered grave injuries to their heads and faces from rubber bullets. There are also reports of live ammunition being used. Dozens of people have been taken to makeshift hospitals after inhaling the choking gas fired by the Central Security Forces.
The export of teargas to foreign law enforcement agencies is not prohibited. CSI has also sold teargas to the Israeli police, where it has been deployed against Palestinian demonstrators, as well as, reportedly, to the regime of Tunisia's ousted dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Nevertheless, the revelation that people are being gassed and hurt by US-manufactured projectiles is embarrassing for the Obama administration.
"We have seen the illegitimate and indiscriminate use of teargas," Heba Morayef, a researcher with Human Rights Watch in Cairo, said, of Egypt's most recent street protests, as well as the original revolution in February. "There are a few cartridges from Italy but the vast majority are from the USA."
She said teargas did not constitute direct military aid, since it was sold to the interior ministry rather than the army. But she added: "Ideally governments should be verifying who they are selling teargas to."
Morayef said the gas was having a devastating effect on its victims, with everyone left choking, and hundreds forced to seek medical treatment

  • BHAM cam - ITV West news - PG Group evict St Paul's squat The Factory (16Nov11)

Profit-driven Bristol Catholic Priest increases homelessness and poverty
    CATHOLIC GROUP SEEKS FACTORY EVICTION
The Parish priest of St Patrick's in Redfield, Bristol, Rev. Gregory Grant, is the Chairman of PG Group, the body which is currently seeking an eviction order against the occupiers of the Factory Social Centre in Cave Street, Bristol. He is also the Chairman of the Grant Bradley Trust, the charitable body which benefits from the profits made by PG group and which claims to have as one of its aims "the relief of poverty and sickness by the provision of affordable housing and associated amenities for persons in need."
    THE PROFIT-DRIVEN FATHER GREGORY GRANT
The PG group and its associated Trust were set up by Fr. Gregory and the late Peter Bradley. PG is a development company, doing up properties around Bristol for profit and then giving a proportion of the profits to the Grant Bradley Trust. Although PG Group claims to be providing affordable homes, the properties on the PG website http://www.thepggroup.co.uk/home/ certainly aren't. PG's developments are contributing to the gentrification of areas of Bristol like St Pauls where the Factory is situated, pricing those on low incomes out of both purchase and rental markets. In other words, the work of PG Group is making poverty worse, not better, at least in Bristol.
WHO WOULD JESUS EVICT - quite possibly violently - AND EXPLOIT?
Evicting an established and community-oriented project and making money at the expense of the poor don't seem like very Christian activities (Who would Jesus evict or exploit?), still less something a parish priest should be so intimately involved with.
Read more about PG and Fr. Gregory here:
    http://freefactory.wordpress.com/the-pg-group/
    COURT HEARING THIS WEEK
The eviction court hearing date was brought forward with just a few days notice from 31 October to this Wednesday, again not a very charitable or 'Christian' action. The Factory is organising a march and demonstration from midday on Wednesday 26 October. Get there to support if you possibly can. Full details:
    http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2011/10/487300.html
LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU THINK
In the meantime, if you want to raise your concerns about the activities of Father Gregory Grant and the PG Group, here are some contacts:
Rev. Gregory Grant, Parish Office, St George's Heights, 140B Church Road, Redfield, Bristol, BS5 9HN Tel: 0117 955 7662
The PG Group can be contacted at:
Stewart Gaiger, Director, The PG Group, Stockwood Chambers, Cowper Street
    Redfield, Bristol, BS5 9JL. Tel: 0117 955 5537 and Fax: 0117 902 1344
And you can contact the Bishop of Clifton Diocese (who oversees all the parish priests in the West of England):

  • Cabot Circus crane Bristol. No number plate no tax no lights wrong way up one-way-street

    10pm on Saturday 29th October 2011.
Nationwide Platforms on the rampage. No registration plates, no tax, no proper lights, driving the wrong way up a one-way-street at night.
How many criminal traffic offences can you commit at the same time? This appears to be the challenge put out by Kevin Duffy, manager of Bristol's swanky Cabot Circus shopping centre. And this employee has truly risen to the occasion. Will he get the sack or will he get a £1000 voucher to spend at the centre? Good to know that Cabot only hire the best managers. No doubt daffy Kev will blame someone else. Or perhaps Land Securities should sack him?
See if you can spot any other offences - how about the lack of fencing off the area where the driver is swinging this fairground ride style mobile crane thing around.

  • Tinkers Bubble Newsnight General Election 2001

5th June 2001 to be precise. Two evenings before general election day. Followed by a short extract from contemporary comedy series Brass Eye. The UK general election, 2001 was held on 7 June 2001 and was dubbed "the quiet landslide" by the media. There was little change at all - outside Northern Ireland - with 620 out of 641 seats remaining unchanged. Labour enjoyed its second so-called 'landslide victory' in a row, maintaining its position from the previous election. Tony Blair became the first Labour prime minister to win enough seats to have a full second consecutive term in office. Labour won a majority of 167 overall (previously 179) and 247 over the Conservatives (previously 254). The Conservatives netted a gain of only 1 seat after their crushing defeat of 1997 (gaining a few seats from Labour, but losing to the Liberal Democrats). Conservative leader William Hague resigned immediately, becoming the first Conservative leader since Austen Chamberlain to leave office without becoming Prime Minister. The Liberal Democrats, under Charles Kennedy, made a gain of 6 more seats from their already historical high of 1997. The elections were also marked by voter apathy, with turnout falling to 59%, the lowest since the Coupon Election of 1918. Throughout the election the Labour Party had maintained a significant lead in the opinion polls and the result was deemed to be so certain that some bookmakers paid out for a Labour majority before the election day. The election had been expected in May, to coincide with local elections, but both were postponed because of rural movement restrictions imposed in response to a foot and mouth outbreak. One of the more noted events of a quiet campaign was when a countryside protester Craig Evans threw an egg at Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott in Rhyl; Prescott then punched him and a struggle ensued, in front of television cameras. The 2001 Election also saw the rare election of an independent. Dr. Richard Taylor of Independent Kidderminster Hospital and Health Concern (usually now known simply as "Health Concern") unseated a government minister. There was also a high vote for British National Party leader Nick Griffin in Oldham, in the wake of recent race riots in the town
