South-Blessed is the 1st, Only and Best Community Channel in the South-West of England. Showcasing any talent or opinion via all media, South-Blessed is here to unify diversity and celebrate culture.
A Little Bit About What We Do...
Operating out of a Community Studio based in St. Pauls, Bristol, South-Blessed is a Community Channel which provides a free platform for media expression and a positive environment for artists and creative minds in the South-West.
South-Blessed create opportunities by running a range of programmes and projects, from media and music workshops and studio time, to fashion shows and alternative reporting. Whether it be music video, short film, news report, or any other broadcast type, anyone is free to share their vision and creative input on the South-Blessed Channel.
A Little Bit of Background...
South-Blessed was originally established as a clothing-line back in November 2008, when the churning-out of the ‘I heart SP’ t-shirts (now popularly worn all over Bristol) first began, putting the South-Blessed logo on the South-West map. ‘I heart SP’ hoodies were soon added to the collection and by April 2009 the South-Blessed shop had opened.
South-Blessed architect, Vincent Baidoo, soon after decided to merge his own long-standing multi-media interests with his new endeavour, and by July 2009 the South-Blessed Channel we know today had started to blow up. In the spring of 2011 the decision was finally made to turn the shop, which had always acted as temp studio, into a full-time studio, and it has been blazing ever since...
The Future of South-Blessed...
Since the Stokes-Croft Riots, more and more South-West locals have been turning to the South-Blessed Channel as an alternative and trustworthy source of local news and a new, reliable means of media outlet, with many choosing South-Blessed over other local channels and popular sites.
The South-Blessed Community Studio will continue to develop and improve, and even more people will have the opportunity to get involved, as we present more of the latest viral videos of local artists and musicians, as well as more visual and television work.
With new and more original talents constantly blessing the scene, South-Blessed will be adding videos regularly, so keep it locked!
